Wings SC fields competitive teams from U-9 through U-19. The club strives to provide a positive environment for the continuing development of players who demonstrate talent, commitment, good sportsmanship, and the desire to excel in the sport of soccer. Through professionalism in leadership and quality coaching, Wings SC will field teams that compete with the best state, regional, and national competition.

Wings SC is a member of the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association and the club’s teams play in the MYSA’s league in the appropriate divisions. Wings SC teams are predominantly in the West district and play in the West metro area.

The definitions of the various divisions for U-12 through U-19 are as follows:

Premier Most competitive level; usually an elite or select group
Classic I Highly Competitive
Classic II Competitive and possessing good skills
Classic III Skill building level

Wings SC is dedicated to providing a fun soccer playing experience, while helping the individual player to develop excellent soccer skills. Wings trainers and coaches are selected for their commitment to the players, qualifications, experience and love of the game.

Competitive Soccer has a commitment at each level of play.

U13-U19, Most Competitive Level; a select group

Winter training (Starting December), winter leagues, travel to out of state/region tournaments, have additional coaching fees, compete in highest level competitions. Practice or play 4 nights a week and weekends in the summer. Teams play 11v11- U13-14 35 minute periods- U15-16 40 minute periods and U17,18,19 45 minute periods.

U12-19, highly competitive; a select group

Winter training (Starting December), winter leagues, have additional coaching fees, compete in high level competitions and attend 4+ tournaments- some may be out of state. Practice or play 3 nights a week and weekends in the summer. U12 teams play 8v8 and U13-19 play 11v11- U13-14 35 minute periods- U15-16 40 minute periods and U17,18,19 45 minute periods.

U12-U19, competitive and players possessing good skills

Winter training (Starting in January), possible winter leagues, compete in good level competitions and attend 4+ tournaments – mostly in state. Practice or play 2 nights a week and some weekends in the summer. U12 teams play 8v8 and U13-19 play 11v11- U13-14 35 minute periods- U15-16 40 minute periods and U17,18,19 45 minute periods.

U12-U19, skill building level

Winter training (starting in February), compete in developmental competitions and attend 3+ tournaments – local. Practice or play 2 nights a week and few weekends in the summer. U12 teams play 8v8 and U13-19 play 11v11- U13-14 35 minute periods- U15-16 40 minute periods and U17,18,19 45 minute periods.

Maroon and Gold

(Developmental soccer – no scores collected) winter training (starting in January), possible winter leagues, attend 3+ tournaments – local. Practice or play 2 nights a week and some weekends in the summer. Teams play 6v6 – 25 minute periods.

Maroon and Gold (competitive) Winter training (starting in January), possible winter leagues, compete in good level competitions and attend 3+ tournaments – local. Practice or play 2 nights a week and some weekends in the summer. Teams play 8v8- 2 30 minute periods.
